What a Difference a Few Years Makes

The old building is gone and even the sign is no longer there. But our memories can't be taken away from the place where we spent so many wonderful years together.

Today Minor High School is one of the few comprehensive high schools in the Jefferson County School District. Minor not only offers excellent academic classes but also has a number of Career/Technical programs that help prepare students for the workforce and for college. Our co-curricular and extracurricular programs continue to be decorated at a level that far exceeds most high schools in Jefferson County as well as the state of Alabama. Located in western Jefferson County, Alabama, Minor High School serves 15 communities and is composed of grades 9-12 with an enrollment of a little above 1000 students. Minor High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
